Take Your Baby with You with a Handy Travel Cot
When you are a new parent you very rarely want to be separated from your baby, and thanks to the handy little travel cot, you no longer have to be! They come in a variety of different colours and styles, making them suitable to everyone’s tastes and budget. So, if you have never heard of a travel cot before, now is the time to find out more.
Travel Cots and Their Purpose
Travel cots are obviously designed to travel, whether that is inside the home or outside the home.
Inside the home a travel cot comes in handy at times when you need to move the cot to a different room in the house. For example, many new mothers want to place the cot within their own bedroom for the first couple of weeks but then afterwards they want to be able to move the cot into the nursery. With a standard cot it can be a bit heavy and awkward to move, but with a travel cot it makes things extremely easy.
Basically a travel cot folds away and fits into a bag that is provided when you purchase the cot. However, as easy as it sounds it can take a bit of practice folding some travel cots away and putting them together again! Another thing to take into account is that even though they are in a bag and you can carry them around, they are still fairly heavy! So, be aware of those two points and you should be OK!
As mentioned, there are a variety of different travel cots available and they all range in price. A common feature of most travel cots is that they can also be used as a playpen for the baby. This means that you save money in the long run as you do not really have to pay for a separate playpen. Some travel cots also come with storage pouches on the sides and the mattresses vary in all travel cots so you should be wary of that.
If you want to go for the most luxurious travel cot for your nursery, then look no further than the Samsonite Pop up Travel Cot. It literally just pops up so there is no need for folding and getting frustrated! The only problem with it is the fact that it is shorter than most travel cots which means that it can only be used for around six months. It is worth it though if you have the money and it is easy to carry around.
